Soda Blasting

SODA BLASTING was first used during the restoration of the Statue of Liberty in 1982. The interior of The Statue was coated with 6 coats of paint and a coat of coal tar. Sodium Bicarbonate Cleaning:   This method entails a  compressed-air spray (consisting of a hopper holding the baking soda and a handheld gun for precision) using a baking soda abrasive. We've found that this method cleans irregular and problem surfaces which would otherwise be both labor intensive and difficult to clean by manual scrubbing and vacuuming.  Sodium Bicarbonate Cleaning eliminated virtually all of the worker and environmental hazards associated with solvent, soap, detergents and caustic chemicals.  Because it is soluble it can be washed down most sanitary sewer systems.
